journey
I used to think that Singapore is just like any other modern city when I first set foot here It's b een 5 months since I first arrived in this country, where I live in a rented room near the Central area. Whenever I am free, I like to take some time and go out for walks. Hiking to me is the best way to travel around the place. Since it keeps my pace slow, I am thus allowed more time to really take in my surroundings, reflect and experience the entire journey fully. Slowly, I realised that the beauty of this city is not in its majestic skyscrapers, nor is it in the throngs of crowds. Loving the harsh, cold white light that is shining on the contrasting warm brown of the shelves, the ancient coffee making machihes and the sour yet delicious aroma of the freshly ground coffee beans.
